Use this product if you're going to be installing spark plugs, cylinder head and exhaust head bolts for easy removal later. I'm a novice mechanic so this tube will probably last me a while, wish it came in a smaller tube and it included brush. Overall, its a good product, I'd buy it again.

 "Perfect Choice" 2010-02-23
By D. Lozada (College Park, MD)
After calling the dealer, used part places and searching trough several parts pages, I remembered that Amazon has absolutely everything.

With some hesitation, I went ahead and ordered the light. Excellent quality, perfect fit, arrived in 3 days and it took 2 minutes to install.

100% recommend it.

"2005 Tahoe High Brake Light" 2010-02-15
By R. A. DeFour (Huntsville, AL)
Most reviews let you know that the Dorman 923-203 is a good replacement for the standard 3rd brake light on the Tahoe and other GM vehicles. My only disagreement with that is in the area of the wire pigtail supplied with the light. The original GM light has a rubber grommet that provides a water/weather tight seal going into the body and the Dorman pigtail has a poor excuse for the same grommet. Not only did it not seal, but it was so loose, I re-used the original pigtail. The only problem with using the original pigtail is that the electrical plug has a really tight fit with the Dorman light and almost doesn't snap into place. I have only had it 1 week so I can't give any estimate on how long it will last. Definitely less expensive than the dealership replacement ($270).

 "Inexpensive Replacement Part" 2010-02-03
By Rifleman (Wisconsin USA)
This High Mounted Brake Light is a lower cost replacement for the OEM factory part. The fit and finish of the Brake Lamp was very good. It was easy to install, and is working fine.

This was the first time I've had something I ordered through Amazon, arrive damaged. The box was partially crushed during shipping. I notified Amazon, and another Brake Light was shipped immediately. The replacement arrived quickly. It was very easy to ship the crushed part back to Amazon, with the free return shipping label they provide. I just resealed the original package, put the free shipping label on, and left it at my mail box for the postman.

I compared this part to the factory light that I was replacing. It was identical. There is no need to spend $269 at the dealer for this part. It is extremely easy to install if you can use a phillips screwdriver. Otherwise, still order this part and have autozone or your local mechanic install it for you. Well worth the money.

"The dealership was going to charge me $60 to replace the air filter." 2009-10-04
By John Q Public (Long Island, NY)
When the Toyota Dealership told me they were going to charge me $60 to replace the cabin air filter, I laughed in their face.

I knew I can get it here on Amazon for $15, and it took me all of 5 minutes to change it on my own. And this one with the baking soda in the mesh should work MUCH better than the OEM one, which tends to stink up after a few months.

The next time I take my car to the stealership for maintenance I can't do myself, they will see that I changed the cabin filter and won't pester me to pay them $60 to do it anymore. Ha.

"Great idea, but not properly designed or tested by by manufacturer." 2009-08-09
By Rory Egan (Dana Point, Ca)
I have been looking for better cabin air filter for my truck, for very long time. I thought this would be perfect as it has a combo of physical and chemical filtration. As I do alot of long road trips for work as well as long haul trips off pavement. Although it was apparent there was something wrong with this filter from the get go. It does not allow enough air through even when brand new. My trucks ac works like a home thermostat as many newer vehicles do, you set the temp that you prefer in the car and the system automticlly xetermines the speed of fan it takes to achieve that temp. Well with this filter installed, the fan runs at it's highest speed constantly, as it is not able to pump enough aid in to get to the set temp. While I can agree to a fine line of good filtration vs something that let's to much air through and thus does not really filter. But when it's brand new and having issues, it will just vet worse in a short amount of time on the road. I removed the filter after two weeks.

Like another reviewer here, I avoid Fram products, especially their oil filters. However, the stock cabin air filter for my vehicle is really inferior and I thought I'd give this Fram unit a try. It is quite good and filters the cabin air much better than the stock filter. I've had it installed for a short time so we'll see how it holds up. I would buy it again.

Red Line 50304 Manual Transmission (MT) 90W Gear Oil - 1 Quart

Buy Cheap Red Line 50304 Manual Transmission (MT) 90W Gear Oil - 1 Quart

Buy Low Price From Here Now

Red Line Oil MTL and MT-90 are designed to provide excellent protection and improved shiftability for manual transmissions and transaxles, having cured the problem of hard shifting in thousands of transmissions with shifting troubles. They have the appropriate coefficient of friction for most manual transmission synchronizers (many gear oils, engine oils, and ATFs are too slippery for proper synchro engagement). And, the wide viscosity of MTL and MT-90 allow proper shifting over the entire temperature range which the transmission will experience. The synthetic base oils used have a very high viscosity index which provides relatively constant viscosity as temperature changes. MTL is a low 70W at very low temperatures and a high 80W, nearly an 85W, at elevated temperatures, providing adequate viscosity to prevent wear and deaden gear noise. MT-90 is a thicker 75W90 version of MTL. The shear stability and oxidation stability of these products are excellent, thus the physical characteristics of Red Line MTL and MT-90 will change little with use.

"Best GL-4 fluid there is. Do not use GL-5 fluid if GL-4 is specified!" 2010-01-23
By Re-view-eR
This is one awesome GL-4 fluid. It does everything it is supposed to and more, just as Redline promised. It smoothed out my transmission that I thought was potentially damaged. I was skeptical at first but no more. It was also cheaper than very expensive (and wrong, for my car) fluids at all the local stores that they tried to sell me.

Some background info is in order, if you are interested.

Many think all gear lube is the same, as long as you pick the right weight. Even many mechanics pay no attention to anything other than weight. Well, wrong, although it used to be true. Unlike motor oil, gear lube is indeed made different for different applications, even for the same weights, as newer cars requirements are so different from older cars.

Mistake one: I had a pro shop change the gear lube in a manual tranny pushing close to 200k.I figured it was time :) If you want it done right, do it yourself, but I was lazy that day. I specifically requested them to make sure the right synthetic fluid went in. They of course put in the right weight: high priced, major brand, synthetic 75w90, but they never bothered to check anything else, since they just have the autostore cross-reference and deliver the fluid. The stores are more clueless than anything else. The chain stores do not even stock GL-4 fluid anymore. There was one high priced brand that claimed to be both GL-4 and GL-5. Well, anything that claims to be one size fits all usually does not fit anything properly so I would stay away from that.

Mistake two: Not checking if all lube was backward compatible. If you want to be sure, check everything yourself. After all, I had professionals do it for me, right? They don't care because it is not their car. Well, GL-5 is not backward compatible and can actually damage some tender parts in transmissions designed for GL-4 due to some harsh additives.

So, after the shop put in GL-5, after a week or two, tranny started lurching in 5th gear. Darn. Did some research, but could not be sure if it was the fluid or just coincidence. After all, it is a lot of miles on the tranny. But, all indications were GL-5 was bad for my GL-4 designed transmission.

So, all my hopes rested on this Redline fluid. It did not let me down!

Got some Redline MT-90 GL-4 75w90 fluid and changed it myself. Amazon has the best price. No one locally even stocked pure GL-4. At first, the lurching was still there. Well, it was worth a try, I thought. But then, it got smoother, or so it seemed. Wishful thinking, I thought. Then, it was definitely smoother, no mistake. Could it be? Now, about two weeks after, for the very first day, the lurching in 5th gear is completely gone, and the tranny is as smooth as it was before. Even smoother. I would occasionally grind when shifting quickly, but now I can shift as fast I am capable of and I have yet to make it grind.

So, expensive lessons learned.

One, do it yourself, if you can. Check what someone else puts in your car before you let them put it there. Definition of a "professional" is that they are paid to do it, not necessarily that they do it well. Just because they get paid to do it, does not mean they know what they are doing, or know better than you.

Two, even if you do not do it yourself, at least make sure your mechanic knows what to put in. They will not take time to research and could not care less if you do not tell them beforehand.

Three, do not trust clueless autostores to cross-reference fluids. They will get it wrong most of the time. Go to factory service manuals or other reliable sources for that information.

Four, if your transmission calls for GL-4, do not chance it with GL-5! Brass synchronizers cannot take it, as GL-5 additives can eat them. You may need a new tranny or major repairs before you know it.

This product was well worth the money compared to what the garage would have charged to diagnose the problem and reset the "Check Engine" light. The code reader was simple to use and gave me an instant readout of the fault. After replacing a defective thermosatat I used the scanner to clear the "Check Engine" light, an operation that the garage would have charged $45 to perform. I am totally satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

By BleedBlue (Pittsburgh, PA USA)
It is simple to get the error codes with this scanner. Then Google OBDII code ###### to find out what the cause is. The scanner easily resets the code and turns off the check engine light.

This scanner will pay for itself if it saves one trip to the repair shop. The most common reason for check engine lights on recent model cars is a loose gas cap. I have used this scanner on a number of people's cars. A couple did not tighten the gas cap properly. Always turn it till it clicks three times. A couple had problems but were able to research the cause and solution before going to the repair shop.

This has been a good investment.

I bought this to help find the problem on a truck a few years ago. It's been a great addition to my toolbox and I've used it many times. Easy to use, and a great value for money. Sure a $200 scanner would have a lot more features, but I paid 39.99 and for that price it's paid for itself many times over. If you're a shade tree mechanic like me, and don't want to spend for the high end scanner, you cant beat this one. Also, it's rugged. Dropped a few times and shows no sign of wear and still works great.

I cut open filters that fit the same car from Fram (Tough Guard)' Mobil 1, and this Pure 1 filter. You cannot tell what size particles are captured by the media this way (Mobil 1 and Pure 1 claim synthetic media), but you can count pleets. The Pure 1 had nearly twice as many, and the bypass and general construction seems to be better also. And the Pure 1 costs about half of what the Mobil 1 filter costs.

"Great for Triumph Speed Triple" 2009-11-01
By MassiveAttack (New Orleans)
I grabbed this at a local AutoZone (ordered backups just now from Amazon, but needed the job done, today). The extra length + textured grip will make my next change that much easier as I'll just reach up and twist it out and my wrenches won't get covered in spent oil. Clearance is not an issue on most bikes as the difference in length from stock is negligible, but *just* enough to grab without fiddling with a filter wrench. Your pipes or belly pan/fairing hang significantly lower than this filter will. Removing the filter by hand will also mean an overall less messy oil change.

Add to that the myriad of great reviews, this price, and Amazon reliability...it's a no-brainer. It's not so much that dealer filters are a rip-off (though they are); it's that this is just a superior filter to most paper-media stock options. Plus, you save a trip to the dealer.

CHANGE YOUR CRUSH WASHERS EVERY TIME, lol. Not sure why some of you folks still skip that after having gone through the mess of changing your own fluids.

I cut all my old filters open because I'm a nerd about these things. I really like these filters. There isn't much difference from the classics other than a better antidrainback valve and a little more media. These are definitely comparable to Royal Purple/Mobil 1 and the exact same filter as a Bosch. With the exception of the Wix/Napa/CarQuest which are all the same and a great filter for the price, this is all I would consider.
